Entrepreneur, philanthropist, and founder of MAP360, Sarah Beatty Buller has spent more than a decade investing in the cultural and economic revitalization of Montgomery, Alabama. As co-founder of Montgomery Builds, she has spearheaded $40M+ across 175+ cultural programs, 94 grants, and 15 downtown capital projects — including the award-winning restoration of Kress on Dexter, now a landmark hub for creativity and community. A graduate of Harvard College (B.A., cum laude, 1988), Sarah spent 16 years in media and marketing at MTV and USA Network before pivoting to environmental entrepreneurship, founding Green Depot in Brooklyn and Greenmaker Industries, a manufacturer of environmentally preferred building products. That unconventional arc — spanning media, construction, manufacturing, and community development — prepared her uniquely to lead MAP360's complex, multi-disciplinary work. TOM BLOUNT,

BOARD SECRETARY

Thomas A. Blount is an architect, AIDS activist, historic preservationist, and arts patron with deep Alabama roots. His most enduring contribution to Montgomery's cultural life is the Blount Cultural Park — a 250-acre park he master-planned and whose centerpiece theater he designed at his father's commission — now home to the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, for which Blount serves as an executive board member. Educated at Vanderbilt University and North Carolina State University's School of Architecture, he considers his deepest education a lifelong engagement with diverse peoples and distant places. His career reflects a belief that architecture, like art, is most powerful when it serves community — shaping spaces that bring people together, honor history, and open possibility. That belief makes him a natural and committed steward of MAP360's mission.
