Milton Madison was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. His love of comic books &Lowrider magazines would help nurture his passion for drawing until college. After graduating from Alabama State University with a degree in graphic arts and design, his journey into painting began

Miltons works have been featured at the National Center for the Study of Civil Rights &

African-American Culture, the Birmingham Public Library and The Rosa Parks Museum.

With assistance from his good friend & local artist Sunny Paulk

Milton designed and painted his first mural at That's My Child TMC where he also taught art. Since then he has completed and assisted in multiple local mural projects

The Black Lives Matters mural at MONTGOMERY'S HISTORIC DEXTER AVE fountain. This project was a collective artistic effort by local artists completed on JUNETEENTH 2020. Expressing compassion and vulnerability on the surge in police brutality in our nation with his "ARE YOU LISTENING" mural featured in the WASHINGTON POST Most recent mural works include a community project with the ACLU in the Patterson Court area Serving as a drawing instructor at The Millbrook Arthouse and The Renascence House Milton has valued the importance of being a vessel to those who may not have had an opportunity to experience art has been a personal goal

One of ten recipients Milton was awarded a fellowship through Wideman Davis Dance Theater and the Mellon Arts Foundation in 2022.He has also been blessed to be part of the local We Create Change arts collective founded by Michelle Browder

who awarded he and 9 others with a fellowship to Oakland California to learn about the origins of the Black Panthers

Working with Amp Up Arts and Governor Kay Ivey's turnaround program, Milton has recently completed beautiful and inspiring murals at DOZIER and HIGHLAND GARDENS Elementary Schools Future projects involve continuing to expand the body of his work in preparation for a solo exhibition later this year

currently exploring street art / graffiti. Starting a collaborative mural non-profit.

And looking forward to participating in the URBAN ARTS FAIR in Paris France, all while continuing to evolve as an artist
