In 2023, Internationally acclaimed abstract artist JonOne arrived in Montgomery.  He was immediately inspired by the work of his creative host, Kevin King.  
​Kevin is founder of The King's Canvas, an organization on Montgomery's west side  dedicated to providing equal access and opportunity to underserved and underexposed artists.  
The intersection outside Kings Canvas is the historic  Selma - Montgomery trail.   
The mural was painted  on the very ground where marchers walked united for equal opportunity-- reminding us to exercise our power of choice, to continue to stand up for peace, unity and one another.  The community created the mural entitled CROSSROADS, to celebrate that power of transformation.
