MONTGOMERY, Ala. —Through the Lens: Jewell's Light honors the photographic work of Jewell Cobb Pitts, a Montgomery public servant and photographer who died in February 2026.
The exhibition features moments Pitts felt compelled to document on her camera: community celebrations, the beauty of nature, a child's ordinary delight. Her photographs hang alongside work by Nico Giquel, April Terry, Grayson McDaniels, Ellen Mertins and Alejandro Perez, photographers who share her curiosity and humanity.
Presented by MAP360 in partnership with the family of Jewell Cobb Pitts. Curated by Alisa Beck, the exhibition asks visitors to consider the small moments they experience every day, what it means to be human, and how we choose to live in community.
